Let’s not dally—here are some of the best coffee makers under $50!
1. SHARDOR Drip Coffee Maker, 12 Cup Programmable Brew Coffee Machine 3.0 (Best Drip Coffee Maker)
The basic drip type is one of the most common coffee makers on the market. After all, they are easy to use and produce a quality cup of coffee.
With the SHARDOR Drip Coffee Maker, you can program your desired cup of coffee up to 24 hours ahead of time. Thanks to this, you won’t have to worry about this part of your early morning wake-up routine.
What’s more, if you happen to miss your alarm and oversleep by an hour or two, there’s no need to worry. The SHARDOR features a plate that keeps your coffee warm even if hours have passed after the brewing process is finished.
Along with its programmable features, the SHARDOR Coffee Maker allows you to adjust your coffee brew’s strength. For those who love a stronger flavor in their coffee, this is a must-have function that lets you adjust your coffee to be as mild or as bold as you prefer.
The coffee maker also includes an anti-drip system that gives you the option to stop and start the brewing process without making a mess. By utilizing the anti-drip system, you can pour out your coffee if you need a cup before the coffee maker has stopped brewing.
There is a control panel that displays all of the features of the coffee maker, such as the strength of your Morning Joe, the time that you want to brew, and the way that you choose to have your coffee.

2. Bodum Pour Over Coffee Maker with Permanent Filter (Best Pour Over Coffee Maker)
Pour-over coffee makers are becoming increasingly popular, as they allow for almost complete control of the brewing process. In particular, using the pour-over method allows you to make one specific cup of coffee while taking advantage of the natural oils found in the beans. The Bodum Pour Over is an inexpensive and innovative take on the classic pour-over.
While drip coffee makers often require the use of a paper filter, which can be damaging to the environment, the pour-over coffee maker usually includes a filter that is washable and reusable. Indeed, the Bodum features a mesh style filter that is stainless steel, which doesn’t absorb the coffee flavor and oils the way a paper filter does.
The coffee pot attached to the filter is resistant to heat, helping to prevent any burns or injuries that could arise from handling a steaming hot coffee pot. Apart from being heat resistant, the design of the pour-over is also sleek and functional.
To use the pour-over, add your choice of ground coffee to the filter. A coarse grind works best, as a fine grind may pass through the filter. Once you have added your coffee grounds, you can then add your hot water in small doses to allow for the highest flavor potential.

3. Takeya Patented Deluxe Cold Brew Coffee Maker (Best Cold Brew Coffee Maker)
When thinking of brewing coffee, most people automatically think of hot coffee. However, the world of cold and iced coffee is increasing, and there is a growing selection of cold brew coffee makers available on the market.
The Deluxe Cold Brew Coffee Maker comes in the form of a pitcher, so you produce up to four cups of coffee at once. The lid is airtight, and the pitcher features a silicone handle that prevents slipping.
Unlike the pour-over, the Deluxe Cold Brew can use any grind of coffee beans, no matter how fine or coarse. Moreover, since the filter for the coffee maker is a fine-mesh, you won’t find coffee grounds seeping into your drink. The plastic of the pitcher is heat resistant as well and can fit easily within a refrigerator.
Takeya products are known for having many products in a range of different sizes. The products are BPA-free, meaning you won’t have to worry about chemicals in your coffee as you drink. As an added bonus, the pitcher comes with an instruction manual to teach you how to cold brew with Takeya’s coffee maker.

Black+Decker 12 Cup Coffee Maker
The Black+Decker 12 Cup Coffee Maker is an absolute steal. For the price, it packs in a lot of features. So let’s take a look.
With full, 24 hour programmability makes sure you’ll never miss your morning cup of coffee again. But if you’re really in a hurry, and cant wait for the carafe to fill, you can pause the machine mid brew to grab yourself a cup. The machine will remember where it was and carry on as normal once you get your cuppa joe.
Once the machine is finished brewing, it’ll keep your carafe hot for over an hour with its built in, non stick hot plate. But for your peace of mind, after 2 hours your machine will switch itself off entirely.
In general, this machine has been designed with easy of use in mind. With it’s easy to view water window will let you know when you need to refill your machine. It also has large, rubberized buttons so you always know what you’re pressing, and your finger will never slip. The digital clock is large and ease to use as well, which is a nice touch.
All in all, for the price you get a lot for your money, not just hot, delicious coffee.

Perhaps the smallest coffee machine on this list, the Mr Coffee 5 Cup Mini Brew is perfect for your office space or anyone with a smaller kitchen. While sure, you only get 5 cups, but if your household is small or you live alone, this machine is absolutely perfect for you.
With some of the good features of its larger cousins, such as mid brew pause, easy to view water window and easy lift and clean filter, this machine is a little gem. My only problems with it is how small it actually is. Although it isn’t programmable, which is something that’s kind of expected now days, even at this low low price.
But if you’re looking for a machine for your home office, which I’m pretty sure this machine has been designed for, then look no further.

Brew pause function, permanent and reusable coffee filter, full programmability and easy to use button controls are what make the Boscare 1-12 cup programmable coffee maker a real star.
For the price, this really does pack a punch. It’s also designed with mindfulness in mind. Never be woken up to the sound of your coffee maker again, because the Boscare is designed to be as quiet as possible.
I really like this machine, although it touts itself as a ‘travel sized’. Not sure if I agree with this. Besides, who on God’s earth would want to travel with their coffee machine?
Buying Guide
When looking for a coffee maker under $50, there are a few factors that you should consider before making your final purchase.
Use Cases
When making a cup of coffee, we’re all looking for something different. Some of us want espresso while others are looking for a strong cup of cold brew. Others may want a whole pot to share with our significant other, but another may only want a pour-over to savor a single cup.
Depending on what you’re looking for, you’ll want a specific kind of machine that makes your perfect mug of joe. You’ll need to keep that in mind when choosing which product you buy, so you can ensure you start your days with your favorite cup of coffee.
Features
In that same vein, each coffee maker itself will have unique features. After all, in the wide world of coffee and coffee-making products, the coffee maker you choose should match your preferences. You should research the features of a coffee maker to help you get your dream cup of coffee.
If you happen to love drinking a lot of coffee, it may make more sense to choose a coffee maker that produces a large quantity of coffee all at once. In contrast, if you enjoy cold brew, then you might want your coffee maker to be optimized for that.
While the price and quality can change depending on your tastes, remember to keep your budget and quality standards in mind when searching for any coffee product.
Problems
When you are looking to buy a coffee maker that is under $50, you are likely going to encounter a few problems.
Just because a coffee maker is cheap does not mean that it is a good coffee maker. In fact, buying a cheaply made coffee maker can end up costing you more money in the long run if it breaks.
While you can find a good coffee maker under $50, you may have to prepare yourself to sacrifice some of your favorite features. However, enough research and patience can land you a perfect coffee maker within your budget.
Final Thoughts
I hope that, if you only take one thing away from this post, is that good coffee at home doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg. It’s actually quite affordable, or at least the coffee makers can be.
As I’ve said, the Shardor Drip Coffee Maker is my absolute favorite. Next time someone comes to me complaining they can’t afford a good coffee maker, I know which one to suggest.
